Question 1

What is BYTU?

Accepted Answer

BYTU is a management platform for kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf schools. In one place you organize students, enrollments, lesson packages, the schedule by instructor, equipment and the school's finances.

Question 2

What does BYTU mean?

Accepted Answer

BYTU comes from ybytu, which means wind in Tupi. We chose the name because the wind sets the routine of a kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf school, and BYTU exists to help the school keep that pace.

Question 3

How does the free trial work?

Accepted Answer

You create your school's account in a minute and use every feature for 30 days, free. Your password arrives by email right away. At the end of the trial, you pick a plan to continue.

Question 4

Do I need a credit card to try it?

Accepted Answer

No. The free trial does not ask for a credit card. You only enter payment details if you decide to subscribe to a plan.

Question 5

Can I cancel at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There is no lock-in: you can cancel your subscription whenever you want.

Question 6

Do you help me move my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your students and packages are in a spreadsheet or another system, our team helps you import everything into BYTU. Talk to us on WhatsApp.

Question 7

Does BYTU track equipment and usage hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You register your inventory of kites, boards and bars and follow the usage hours of each item, which helps you plan maintenance, servicing and replacement before it becomes a problem in a lesson.

Question 8

Does BYTU work with WhatsApp?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BYTU connects to the school's WhatsApp to send lesson reminders and booking and cancellation notices to students and instructors.

Question 9

Does BYTU help the school get more Google reviews?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When a student stops taking lessons, BYTU sends a review request by WhatsApp and email: they rate each instructor they had lessons with, and the school, from 1 to 5 stars. Then it invites the student to review the school on Google, only once. You see the ratings, the comments and the instructor ranking on your dashboard.

Question 10

How does the digital commitment agreement work?

Accepted Answer

BYTU sends the commitment agreement for the student to sign 100% digitally, with no paper. Each acceptance is recorded with date, IP and confirmation, which gives the school more legal security and keeps every agreement organized by student.
